Ø      At the same time it attempts to empower any medical scheme member to take ownership of their scheme, and to carefully consider how they use their benefits.

Ø      You decide how much you need to save, how often and thru which of the many methods we offer.

Ø      You are not limited to how much and what you want to spend the accumulated funds on, as long as it’s at a Medical Service provider such as doctor’s, dentists, pharmacies, clinics etc…

Ø      While you’re saving you earn a market related interest and have the option of accessing these funds just before the end of the year to do with as you wish.

Ø      Medical service providers are paid at point of sale and thus, placing you in a bargaining position for further cash discounts which you can negotiate with them.

Ø      You are also able to pay for e.g., a Doctor’s visit upfront with your card, get the “cash” discount by not using your Medical Scheme card, and submitting that payment to your Medical Aid for re-imbursement against available benefits. This will assist in stretching your benefits a bit further during the latter part of the year when most people run out of benefits.
